VIC What Happens to Jointly Owned Deceased Estate if One Sibling Dies?

My brother and I are the beneficiaries of my parents' estate. We have inherited their house jointly.

What is the legal position upon the death of either my brother or myself? Does ownership revert to the surviving sibling? Does the property have to be sold to satisfy the getting in of the deceased estate?

Dear George,

My understanding is that as you have both inherited the house jointly, if one of you was to die - your estate would get that half of the property (unless you left the other half to your brother). Therefore, the executor of the estate would decide what would happen to the half of the property.
