Hi, i have purchased a vehicle through a dealer 150kms away, a month ago. The vehicle's clutch has now gone, and was limped to the mechanics. I have advised the dealer of the situation, and have been told they will only pay $1800 towards the $2500 repair, or i have to get the vehicle to them for repair. The vehicle is not drivable, and transportation costs are $400. Are these my only options, or does the dealer have to find a mechanic they are prepared to pay closer to me? Thanks

How far away you live, is not the fault of the dealer. But they should pay local towing fees.... so ask them to pay say $100 of the $400 towing cost?

But i would never trust a dealer repair job anyway, so personally if i was in your position, i would take the $1800 and pay $2500 just to have the peace of mind knowing it was repaired properly.
