NSW Previous employer approaches my new employer

My Previous employer which I resigned from back in Feb. Approached my new employer toady and Accused me of spreading rumors about the current situation.
Calling me a compulsive liar.

What can I do?

Did they tell lies? And do you have proof of this you can use in court?
