I have requested ''my" lawyer to produce and give me my file. He refuses to answer my request. I have used the email address used to communicate with him for over 10 years and also I checked his address on the Law society contact detail; they match. I also emailed his secretary. She also failed to respond. Should I complain to the Legal Services Commissioner NSW? Or the Police?

    Have you paid for fees?
A solicitor is able to hold onto your file if you have not paid your fees.

Then they should release the file to you. Contact legal services commission if you are unable to illicit a response from them.
