NSW Executor of Will - Can Spouse Claim Reimbursement from Estate?

Hi everyone,

I have been appointed as the executor of will of an estate. The deceased was ill for many years and not working. Their medical expenses were paid for by their spouse. Their spouse has now lodged a claim for reimbursement.

Is this claim legit? Can they do that?
