Hi,

I work in Real Estate as a Sales Administrator. Admin staff are expected to attend monthly Auctions for the duration of approx 2 hours after our normal work hours. We do not get paid for this as they classify it as the "reasonable" additional hours.

Last weekend, we attended a four-hour Auction on a Sunday. We did not get paid, but they may potentially give us time in lieu.

Is it legal under Employment Law for our boss to make us work without pay and if we do get time in lieu, would it be just for 4 hours or more because of it being a Sunday?

Clerks Private Sector Award 2010 or Real Estate Industry Award 2010?

Both cover work in Real estate. Which one are you on?
