Me and my partner of about 4-5 years have seperated but currently have a shared property together. We plan on still living together in a rental as roomates but his parents will take over the mortage. I just want to know will my equal share of the proeprty be diminished or compeltley lost by agreeing to move out when someone else services the loan? I won't be transfering property rights or signing anything, just moving out. Thanks in advance.

Depends in part on future events.. Verbal agreements that may seem okay at the time often change down the track...... There is definitely the potential for complications....

If you are going to permanently separate, you are much better off dealing with a property settlement now
