NSW Custody of Children - File Response to Final Orders?

Is it disadvantageous for a Respondent to file a response to final orders but not respond to the application for interim orders for custody of children matters?

Consider these are two separate matters.

Interim orders are the orders that go into place while proceedings are afoot for final orders. If you are agreeable to interim orders proposed by the other party, then don't file a response.

Final orders, of course, are the final version of the orders passed after a trial. Thus, you should file a response.
