I have video recorded sexual act with an escort on my laptop camera without her consent. Is it a crime under Australian criminal law?

Yes. I'm not sure of Qld legislation but NSW law makes it a crime to take a picture or video of a person engaged in sexual activity. The punishment can be up to 2 years jail time.If you use the internet to record or send the video without permission you are also breaking federal internet laws which also attract jail terms.

Sharing a video of this nature could also expose you to an action in defamation. However this would be a civil suit whereby the woman may have grounds to sue you.
