Can a bank legally withhold a mortgage statement from the spouse that has left the marital home, purely on the word of the signatory still residing in the home?

Is your name on the mortgage?

No. If the person is still responsible for the debt, they are entitled to see the statements. I'd be telling the bank to take me off the mortgage and any guarantee in this situation if they continue to refuse access to key financial statements and see what happens next.

Thank you Rod... I will pass on the info to my stepson. He is worried his ex would deem it harassment as she has done previously or the bank sees it as him abandoning the property?

I favour your suggestion.

Cheers.
