Can I become a legal receptionist if I have a criminal record, I never went to jail, but I had a suspended jail sentence, the offence was fraud.

There is no formal requirement that says you can't.

However a legal firm would put themselves at risk if they hired you because they handle trust monies, so they would be unlikely to employ you.

    It's an offence involving dishonesty.
Since honesty is at the core of the profession,
it's quite likely that no law firm would employ you.

Are you prohibited by law from doing that job?
    No.

Are you going to have a hard time getting a job?
    Probably.
