VIC Australian Consumer Law - Sell Cruise Package at Advertised Price?

Hi,

We have found a cruise advertised on line through Cruiseaway. When we went to book, we were told it was the wrong price. My question is, do they have to sell us that cruise package at the advertised price under Australian Consumer Law, even though it is still being advertised?

No, as far as I am aware, they are not obliged to sell it to you for a price that was advertised erroneously.

This article says under Australian Consumer Law, that if a price is being advertised at a different price to what it states, the company must honour that price until it is changed.

It might be worth sending the cruise company a letter with the original advert/invoice along with the above article and the section of the Australian Consumer Law that relates to this and ask for the price to be rectified.
