A forum dealing with inappropriate conduct of directors and the path to seeking compensation.

Path to seeking compensation. Both the Coalition Government and Labor promise compensation in the event of theft or fraudulent conduct in relation to an APRA regulated super fund. However you have to fight to get it. A forum to share experience with the fight would be useful.

Thanks Phillip, I am referring to the dissemination of misleading and nonfactual information from directors in private emails to me.

Statements such as, "WE ARE GOING RADIO SILENT, THE NEXT BIG CANNONS WE ARE ROLLING OUT need to be hidden in the trees until they go bang" and "There are some big buyers out the back, keep ahead of them". Are these considered market sensitive advice?

Don't allow Unqualified lawyers to provide advice on cases people raise here, the advice could be taken literally and lead to massive mistakes in real court.

I only posted once here and the response was from a Legal Student who did not know her stuff at All!

1. I agree that there is no substitute for engaging a qualified lawyer with experience in your area of law to provide you with legal advice tailored to your personal circumstances (at least until "Watson" becomes smart enough to replace me and my fellow lawyers!).
2. This forum includes general legal information but does not provide legal advice. This is stated on each page and the Terms of Use that each new member expressly agrees to when joining the forum. In addition, many forum members, including the member that responded to your recent questions, include a disclaimer in their signature with each post.
3. The purpose of the forum (and idea behind the inclusion of lawyers and non-lawyers) is also sent to each new member when they Sign Up and is linked at: The LawAnswers.com.au Story | LawAnswers.com.au Legal Aid Forums
4. I believe that each new member delivers a more transparent and relevant collection of legal information for Australians. Thanks for your suggestion @John Bennett. At this time, I think that the Commercial Law Forum is still the most appropriate forum for legal topics related to company directors. That said, I will continue to monitor and keep you updated.

I can understand the concerns that users on this forum may have about the quality of the advice they are given. I agree that the content in this forum should never be used as a substitute for actual legal advice from a lawyer in the State of the person asking a question.

However, as a suggestion for a forum, I recommend making a forum specifically for law students to be allow them to basically refine their knowledge with each other. I think it would be a good community project, especially if someone takes the initiative to present hypothetical scenarios for discussion among academic minds.

I'm not sure if this falls specifically in the goals of the forum, but I figure if there's something here for legal humour, it shouldn't be far fetched to suggest something that promotes love of the law and refinement of legal training. Who knows? Maybe even the general public without any legal education or training may get a kick out of discussing the issues as well.
