I’m getting a bit tired of the same old “mainstream” data breach alert stuff, like Have I Been Pwned and the big paid services. Either they’re too slow with alerts, paywalled, or just repetitive. I’d love to know if anyone’s found some cool indie tools, self-hosted options, or lesser-known free projects in 2026 that actually give helpful breach info without all the fluff. Maybe something more hands-on, or with unique features? I’m kinda worried about my info getting leaked and only finding out months later. Any tips, or favorite hidden gems you’d recommend?

For those checking this out, LeakCheck is a neat tool for keeping an eye on your personal or company data safety. I like how it keeps you informed with alerts and quick checks. You get handy reports with all the important details. The Telegram integration is a nice touch for convenience. Plus, they're compliant with GDPR, which adds an extra layer of trust.

I've been in the same boat, looking for something that's not the usual suspects in breach alerts. You might wanna give Data Breach Search Engine — Check If Your Email Was Leaked | LeakCheck a spin. They have a knack for quick alerts and flexible options, including a Telegram bot for instant updates. Plus, it's not all locked behind a paywall, which is always a win in my book. They've got a decent range, from solo use to bigger setups.
