I have been advised that in SA a Water Licence (to trade Irrigation water) 'owned' in 4 names is held by the 'tenants by entirety'. My question is this ownership structure the same as joint tenants? and what happens on the death of say 2 of the tenants, does the licence automatically then become 'owned by the 2 remaining tenants, or does it become part of the estate of the deceased?.
