Hi,

My question: When some one receives a defamation concerns notice, what is the minimum time given for other party to reply back (28,14,7 days)?

If it's just 1 day, can we take legal action on the lawyer who has sent the notice...?

Are you the recipient or the author of the letter?
Do the "concerns" include a demand for immediate removal of the defamatory
(eg a "take-down" demand)?

Unlikely. If the defamatory material is serious and online and can be removed easily, 1 day is fine. Be more worried about the content of the notice, not the period that was given.

Hi Tim,
I have received the notice.
The contents is not serious.
More misleading accusations ,which was written to one organization as a complain, then that particular organization has given exact copy to individual, then this individual sent notice .
The one day period to reply was forced by individual to lawyer to put pressure on me.

As i mentioned in my reply ,content was more acquisition and it was not in public forums.
It wad complaint given to organizations heads (5 people).
But there was 1 line mentioned as money laundering and unaccountable transactions in the complaint .
