Hi, my wife recently went to court to put an intervention order on me. I honestly sat down with my wife of 10 years and talked seriously

She doesn't wish to go through with the order and wanted to know if it can be cancelled before being put on.

Please get back to me soon.

She can speak to the duty solicitor and the prosecutor on the first court appearance. She might be able to get the terms changed or have the thing dropped. But you should defend the thing rather than accepting it.

If you have already had the first mention, she can discontinue proceedings by writing a letter to the court and informing them of her decision.

If the police are involved, that's a different story.
