Usually prior to or at the same time as the goods or service being rendered to you!
They may have terms and conditions on the accepting the sale side of things.
Other than that, most invoices will be 30 days, so pay after 30 days and if they make a fuss, ask for a proper invoice.

Best to check the terms and conditions of trade if possible. Sometimes an invoice is due and payable within 14 days.
If the invoice relates to the construction industry, the dates of invoices are incredibly important in terms of your rights and enforcement by other side.
If in doubt, ask the invoice supplier.

Are the end user, or the provider?
Is it even a transaction to which the ACL applies?
