You can consult a lawyer about your problem,
and you can tell that lawyer anything, and ask that lawyer anything,
and the company can't interfere with that.

Remember - what they say, what threats they make,
and what they can actually do IRL, can be different.

Hi Peter6,

I would not suggest disclosing any personal or specific information on such a public forum.

Is your question connected with your other question in "Developed a new algorithm - defamation"? If so, I'll just say that from the responses in that thread, it appears you have been given sufficient information about your possible causes of action, and some issues you're likely to encounter from each. Your next step really should be speaking with an IP lawyer about this. Your matter is complex. Most cases in IP (and defamation) are and it often depends on your specific facts. Only a lawyer IRL can really answer whether your case has merit or is worth pursuing.

Some firms have free first meetings. Do bring copies of your emails to the meetings and do ask about costs.
