Just need to know how long can solicitors withhold trust funds from beneficiaries after settlement of an estate sold by auction

That is typically decided by the executor. Many factors can delay the payment to beneficiaries.

I know it is not the answer you are seeking, however to get a better idea you will need to discuss with the executor or see your own lawyer and give them more information about the whole estate.

Put the request in writing. Say when the request was first made. Say you will charge interest if not paid within 14 days.

It may be a few thousand should be withheld for remaining expenses and costs.
