I have ben informed that when someone dies intestate that in NSW the estate is divvied up between existing relatives (siblings).

My deceased brother detested my elder brother - there's any number of people who can testify to that, including a lawyer, but I'm told that trying to contest the estate will be a waste of time.

Any ideas?
