I'm interested in this bar for sale but not sure if the liquor license can be transferred over with my previous convictions?
In 1999 was charged with robbery as a teenager (15yrs old) and in 2006 with assault with only a fine imposed. Since then until now (12yrs) never had any run ins, or DUI's completely been a good boy.

Want to make sure I qualify before committed to a offer

I would not accept advice from a site like this on this one Hoang.... Very few people here are solicitors... The law is gonna be very specific and given you're gonna be forking out huge amounts of cash to buy this bar.... I reckon you'd be mad to accept opinion / advice from random people you don't know as your only source of info prior to laying out the money....

I have already contacted a lawyer who specialise in liquor license approval etc. Its holiday season and the firm doesn't return until the 8th Jan. Absolutely proper legal advice on this one for sure. Just throwing it out in the mean time in case some other member has gone through the same thing. Curious as settlement is subject to liquor approval. And only way to find out I'd think is apply unless a lawyer advised not too. Then there's the option of appealing if I was rejected where a lawyer could help.

I have read that if no convictions in the last 10 years should be ok but judged case by case. Here in WA RGL body is bloody strict. Even security personal have had their license revoked due to convictions and pretty sure its the same in other states?
