NSW Is it just me or do shock absorbers give up way faster here than anywhere else?

Moved here from the UK about three years ago and I feel like I'm replacing parts on my car at double the rate I used to back home, and I'm not even driving that much more. Had to swap out my front shocks last month and the mechanic in Ras Al Khor just shrugged and said it's normal for this climate, something about the fluid inside getting too thin when the asphalt temps hit 60 degrees. I'd never really thought about how hot weather damages shock absorbers beyond just making the engine run a bit rougher, but apparently all that constant thermal cycling just cooks the seals and thins the hydraulic oil until it's basically useless. Someone on a local motoring group mentioned reading about it on some site called nolcardcheck or something and I went down a bit of a rabbit hole reading about internal pressure buildup. Honestly just curious if anyone who's been here longer has found a brand of shocks that actually holds up to July and August without turning your car into a bouncy castle.
