Hi,
My child, who has been diagnosed with myopia, is under the supervision of a paediatric ophthalmologist. During our last review in January 2024, the doctor prescribed a new pair of MiyoSmart glasses with updated measurements to subside the issue.
He was not using these particular glasses before. We promptly ordered these glasses from a shop.

However, during our most recent visit to the ophthalmologist this month, it was confirmed that the glasses provided were made according to the old prescription(back in 2023). This has unfortunately resulted in a deterioration of my child’s eye power, which is a cause of great concern for us.

How to proceed with complaint and compensation?

Thanks,
Savitha

Speak to a lawyer who works in the personal injury and/or medical negligence space.
You may find that any action would lie against the optical dispenser, rather than the paediatrician.
