NSW Suing Laser Clinic for Negligence?

I would like to know any legal information and rights a person would have to sue against a laser clinic.

Due to the negligence of staff, permanent body harm has been done (scarring). It has all been documented. What rights do I have to sue?

The scarring is permanent. Due to negligence on their behalf, it was for laser hair removal, but they Lasered a tattoo on the side of the rib cage.
