Hi guys, any help would be greatly appreciated:

I'm renting a property which is being managed through agency X

The landlords have decided to sell the property, but are using agency Z to sell

Agency Z approached me (the tenant) and asked if I'd be ok with allowing their chosen subcontracted gardeners to come through to tidy it up for sales inspections - I said sure

Gardeners arrived and negligently used machinery (whipper-snipper) across a pebble footpath which has caused stones to damage brand new vehicle just 2 metres away (Google doorbell has video of it)

The gardeners seem like a nightmare to deal with and I was hoping to be able to have agency Z deal with it, which only seemed fair to me since it was their subcontractor and their decision to undertake this in the first place. Agency Z has told me they have nothing to do with it and it's between me and the gardener. Is this true?

Get a lawyer. Bring an action against the two of them jointly and severally.
Wait, while they dog eat dog among themselves over who is responsible.
Then, accept the first sensible offer of compensation that you receive.
