QLD How to Get Update of Ongoing Criminal Law Case?

Hello there,

Is there a way for me to find out the progress of an on-going criminal law case? Alternatively, how could I find out the outcome of the case once it is decided?

This person is a neighbour of mine charged with attempt to r**e, deprivation of liberty, etc., and was in local court Toowoomba (QLD) and the newspaper use to run the story. However, he got the case shifted to Brisbane, so I was wondering if there is a way to find out the updates?

Ring the prosecuting police (or if relevant, the QDPP) and ask there?
Ring the court and ask?

Isn't there a way to check it online and see the documents related to the case, I tried that, but wasn't able to search by his name.
