In the US, it is illegal to enter the country through a non designated entry point, or to put it another way, if you do not enter the country through a border crossing point, it is a criminal offence, this applies to both citizens and non citizens.
Does Australia have a similar law, defining where in Australia a person (both citizens and non citizen ) is allowed to enter the country.
Is it also a criminal offence to enter the country (regardless of visa or citizenship status) through an area that is not a designated manned border crossing area (eg. boat port, airport etc)?
