I applied for my Travel Insurance for Fiji at 10am February 19th 2016. My insurance company has come back and said that any policies purchased after February 17th 2016 are going to be disregarded as the cyclone was a 'mass media thing'.
I had not heard of the cyclone and I have researched the news from those dates and it wasn't announed that the cyclone was hitting Fiji until after 5pm on 19th February 2016. I have seen other Insurance companies and they have said all policies after the 20th will be disregarded so I don't think it's okay that my insurance company made it the 17th February 2016.
What can I do about this under insurance law?
