Car Insurance Claim after Car Accident - Phone and Bank Records?

I was the driver of a vehicle where I have clipped a car going around a corner putting the other car into a spin and myself going down an embankment. During the car accident investigation of the claim, my car insurance company have requested copies of my phone and banking records for the seven days prior and seven days after the accident. Are they legally entitled to this information as I fail to see what it has to do with my accident?
