Hi,
I am no expert and you should seek actual legal advice. The car is quite old/used 142000km, it may be reasonable to expect additional problems with it.
In my view, you should be able to acquire compensation if the dealer lied to you or knowingly misinformed you about the car’s condition. The dealer must have known about the condition from conducting an emissions test or a quality check. Buyers should be informed of accurate information about used cars conditions otherwise it is misleading advertisement which violates the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
I hope this helps
