I was in an accident with a car, whilst on my bike. They turned left in front of me and I went in to the side of them. They did not indicate. The driver had a dashcam and they sent the footage to their insurance company who have said I was at fault. The insurance company has sent me the footage and there is no audio. The footage shows the model of the dashcam, googling it, it says it has audio. Also the footage lists the filename which is in a video format called MP4. However the file I've been sent has a different file name and is now in a different formay called .MOV. I don't know if someone has removed the audio, which is important, but someone has definitely edited the video, hence the reason it now has a different file extension. If I request the original footage, are they legally obligated to send it to me?
