If you ask specific questions here - you'll get some good help. So for a start are you only talking assets? or assets and kids? What size asset pool.
My rule of thumb is that unless you have assets worth more than $150 000. fighting it out in court is stupid. It will cost so much money that the $150 000 could wind up being so severely diminished through legal bills that you're arguing over 4/5's of stuff all.
