Hi, I was extended and verbally accepted an offer this week, with a start date set on Monday (30th Oct).
I filled out the paper work, was sent logins, had an E-mail from the direct supervisor and lots of friendly
contact from the employer.
Late yesterday afternoon they sent through the offer and the offered wage was below the minimum award rate for the job. I went back and said "Hey this is a bit a low, are you aware that's below the award rate?", their response was "Oh, we don't pay according to the award,".
I stupidly tried to be helpful and say, "Hey look, here's the award, this is the legal required minimum for this role," and of course they rescinded the offer. Fair work's advice was that I should have taken the role and THEN brought up the issue of wages and claimed back pay. But I'm just not that kind of person.

My question now is, do I have legal recourse?
