Good Morning
On the 12/01/2018 we booked our wedding reception for the 30th August 2019.
we put down a $1500 deposit
We were emailed a receipt and a copy of a contract ( WHICH WE NEVER SIGNED )
On the 1/02/2018 the venue emailed saying the we still owed $1500 to cover the required $3000 deposit which we were never told about.
We explained to them we didnt have that money as I was currently going through treatment for my Multiple Sclerosis - they agreed due to the mis communication that we could pay the remained off in $500 monthly lots.
In February 2019 I email to cancel the wedding as due to not being able to afford medical treatment treatment and the wedding. I gave the venue 6 months notice as the wedding with on 30 August 2019. And they are now refusing to return my deposit.
As their conditions on the terms and agreements ( WHICH AGAIN WE NEVER SIGNED ) is 20% admin fee on cancellation and if a booking to the same value is not made in our spot we loose all of our money which was a total of $4000.
Can you please help and advise where i stand with my refund
