b) If there is a default issued against me ( does this show in WA Police Check?)

I'm not sure about (a) as I don't practice in WA. However, in terms of (b) insofar as it relates to your credit history (since this is the Debt and Bankruptcy forum):

- It won't be on a police check, as it's not a criminal matter;
- You can obtain a free credit check through the credit reporting bodies once every 12 months. The relevant ones for you are likely to be Equifax (Free Credit Report - Learn How to Get A Credit Report for Free | Equifax), Dun & Bradstreet (Check your credit | Dun & Bradstreet (Australia)), and Experian (Consumer Credit Report | Experian Credit Services Australia).
