NSW Visa Subclass 100 separation or divorse

Hi

Firstly thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully answer my question

I have a friend ( and no , not myself )
He has been married for over 2 years and with his wife for over 4 years.
He is on a subclass ( dependent migrant) visa 100
There relationship isnt very good and could possibly end soon. They sleep in seperate rooms.
He is worried that he will have to leave australia and move back to the uk if they seperate and divorce.

Can any one clarify if that could happen being on the visa he is on

So what you're saying is that the premise upon which his visa was issued has already gone away?
And/or, that his decision(s) about the future of his relationship are driven more by his migration agenda?

Are there children in play (either his alone, or theirs jointly?)
Is he eligible for any other class of visa?
(It might be a long bow, but...) Is he yet eligible for citizenship himself?

Thank you for your reply

He is on a migrant subclass 100 ( dependent ) visa??
Does that mean he is a permanent resident?
He has tried to fix his marriage and is still trying.
He has built a life here, has a house with his wife etc...
his decision about his marriage isnt more of a migration agenda..
More of a what happens with the life he has built here. He is settled in australia and of course doesnt want leave.
But if his marriage does end will he have to prepare to leave australia or can he still live here?
No children just assets .
Im not sure about other visa’s
And citizen ship i think is still a couple of years away..
