Hi and thanks for reading my question.

I'm involved in a parenting (only) matter and the other party has been allowed to redact some sensitive information in the subpeonas (we had a Objection Hearing)

What seems odd is the redaction was just not effective - that is I could still read what they were looking to conceal.

When i mentioned to Court Officers (not the detail on what i read) they said it's very common to still be able to read.

My question, can i use that information in my affidavit or in conversations with other party? I believe that it shouldn't have been redacted and disclosed under standard obligation provisions.

I’m not a family lawyer, but if the Court has made an order allowing redaction and you try to have some of that information admitted as evidence you’re likely going to be in for a bad time.
