Hello everyone and thank you for taking time to read this question.

I have been caught shoplifting once again and this is my third time going to court for it.

The first time I had the matter solved with a section 10, the second time I received a fine.

Now I am wondering what can happen next, as I can't find any information or similar cases to mine on the forum.

Is it possible for a nsw magistrate to sentence me to jail for shoplifting?

Is it possible - sure.
Is it likely - impossible to say. Full time gaol is not the only option, and much depends on the facts and circumstances (no, don't go into detail here)

You can take a little comfort from the fact that we don't have a "three strikes" rule like in California.
That said, if you are on a visa, then with a second conviction on the books, you may have a problem.
