Hey everyone,

Had my car taken by someone who crashed it into a guard rail. And over year later, I get a letter saying I owe RTA $8508. And if it is not paid, I will be taken to court.

Am I responsible for damages, even though I wasn't driving; it was just because it was my vehicle.

What do you mean when you say it was ‘taken’? If you mean it was stolen, did you report it to the Police? And what’s the basis for which the RTA says that you owe the money?

So, then, is the RTA demand for the guard rail? If so, and I'm assuming you told them the car was stolen and reported to the police, why are they demanding you pay for it?
