we have retaining wall and fence over it on the boundary. We are on the higher side and want to fix because retaining wall falling down. My question is who is responsible for retaining wall fixing cost ?? we or neighbour. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Yes we are on the higher side and retaining wall height around 800mm high. But retaining wall on the boundary line and we need to remove the fence before putting new retaining wall. So my neighbour is responsible for half fencing cost?? Thanks

Not higher side, whoever altered the ground height, by raising or lowering, pays the wall.

The fence is a different scenario and depends on whether it is at end of life or not.
