Hello
We have a few leaks from the ceiling in the dining room, one in particular from a light fitting.
Mon 9:00 am Emailed the Agents
Mon 11:25 Phoned Agent; she had not seen email, been busy. I told her the problem. She will issue work order
Tue 12:45 Phoned Agent, on another call; left message to call me back
Tue 2:55 Agent returned call, will ring the contractor
Tue 2:57 Agent rang back, the contractor will ring me shortly
Tue 4:40 Contractor rang, not aware of wet light fitting/wiring; roofer can have a look though, can't make it until Thursday
Tue 4:43 Phoned the Agent, told her of dangers/risks of wet wiring/light fitting and that roofer is not an electrician. She will not get an electrician in unless the Contractor/builder/roofer advises it. Said the home owner is aware of everything.

I understand how they will not want to pay for an electrician, that may not be needed in the end. But to rely on a non-qualified person to make the decision, is I think ignorant and negligent. And meanwhile we the tenants are at risk of electricution and/or an electrical fire.

Any ideas anyone?
