removal of particulate filter tank by seller.this tank has been removed by previous owner.asked about any faults warning lights on in dash was told no problems.I think this nondisclosure was a dishonest from seller and would not have bought vehicle.can I make seller pay for repairs for this dishonest act thanks Henry

Dealer or private seller?

I am assuming private seller. What the seller told you verbally is irrelevant unless you can prove it? No? Irrelevant.
Did the seller make any claim about the vehicle in contradiction to the fault? And are able to prove the seller was aware of the fault?

All of the above not so easy to do.
