Hi I signed a standard REIV Exclusive Sales Authority in 2017 for the sale of a my property. The purchaser paid the deposit but two years later failed to meet the subsequent payment and after lengthy discussions, with the purchaser, the contract was terminated.
The agent then forwarded me another Exclusive Sales Authority to sign which had a modified version of general condition 2.
I have enquired as to why this clause was changed ( Consumer affairs and REIV) but I cannot get an answer. Consumer affairs says it is a REIV form and they need to answer while REIV will not give out any information to non members, including non member solicitors.
All I want to know is when and why general condition 2 was modified.
