Had a tasting in a liquor store, and then got refused service at the checkout, even though I had enough ID to get a new birth certificate.

Just wanted to know what my legal rights are under Australian Consumer Law...

Hi Anastasiak,

It's my understanding that the licensee has the discretion to refuse service or supply of alcohol under The Liquor Control Act 1988 (WA). And its really up to them to decide if they think you are drunk, cant pay, abusive, under age or any number of other reasons they can refuse service.
