I'm just wondering if a response to a hostile verbal interaction warrants "I'd be careful, If I were you" after a simple question wondering why someone was on a private premises, and could charges be pressed for such an utterance occurring.

Thanks in advance.

If you feel threatened by somebody then you should report it to police regardless of the legalities.

The police may not act on it but at least your on record so if anything else happens it will be there as supporting evidence.
