Hi all,

So a friend of mine is a crowd controller at a licensed night club.

He has worked at this venue for a number of years now.

Recently he was involved in a small altercation outside the venue during the course of his work one night. No criminal charges were laid.

Since the incident, a local police officer has made it his duty to request that the venue (or the security contractor/employer) no longer allow my friend to work at this venue. As a result he has lost half of his working hours during the week.

This to me seems even punitive in nature. Is there any act or or legislation which allows police officers to ban a security personel from working at a particular licensed venue?

Thanks for your time.

-Jeremy.
