A family member was 14 years old in when a surgeon accidentally cut the sphincter and didn't tell the family. And now that man is 27 years old wearing a bag and we can't get anywhere with suing the surgeon who did the operation.

We have spent thousands of dollars on a personal injury lawyer that hasn't done much. I think the surgeon needs to be held accountable for what he has done to my cousin.

Can anyone help on what we should do?

Apply for leave of the court to commence an action. Suspect the injured man is past the statute of limitations.

Proving medical negligence may not be easy at the best of times.
