I'm moving from the ACT to NSW for work. I live with family in the ACT, and I will be provided with some temporary accomodation in NSW for the short term. After that I'll need to secure my own place to stay.

At what point am I considered to live in NSW for things like:

* The home address / place of residence I list on legal documents
* The three months for which you can use an interstate drivers license
* Registering to vote

If I'm staying at the temporary accomodation for work but returning home to family in the ACT every weekend, do I live in NSW or the ACT? Does it change once I start renting a property? If so, is it when I start renting it or when I start actually living at the property (which may be weeks later).

If you want to maintain your residential address in ACT then do so. Then the question becomes.... at what point is it strictly illegal to maintain your residential address as ACT? That i don't know?
