I had a contract with an overseas company who were to pay me all the funds to make a movie. Though they paid just enough money to get the movie shot, they failed to pay the rest to get the movie edited and completed ready for market.

So we entered into a new agreement and again they failed to pay the monies owed by the new deadline.

Does this mean that both agreements are now null and void, and am I free to move on from them?

No, it means they are potentially in breach of the terms of the contract and you may need to take further action to terminate. There may be carry over provisions that apply. No one can tell you what is the effect of any of this without a full review of the terms of the contract. I suggest you seek legal advice.
